DRT operates seven days a week, and is designed to complement existing public transport services and the operating hours of the key destinations where possible.
The operating hours are:
- Monday to Friday: 6am to 10pm
- Saturday, Sunday and public holidays: 6am to 10pm
A single trip on a DRT service is cheaper than a TransLink adult one zone fare.
- Adult: $3
- Concession: $1.50
How do I pay for my trip?
You can pay the DRT driver on board the service with:
- credit or debit card
- a pre-paid voucher.
Can I use my go card?
As the DRT is only a trial service at this stage, we do not have the capability to accept payment with go cards.
Can I pre-pay for my services?
If you would like to pre-pay for DRT services, you can purchase vouchers over the telephone on 13 11 90. Vouchers are sold in books of ten or twenty.
You can choose to collect the vouchers from a 13cabs depot (16 Blackwood Road, Woodridge or 7 Albion Street, Woolloongabba) or receive them by post. If by post, the vouchers will be sent to you via registered mail and may take between two to five days to reach you.
Some passengers may be entitled to a concession fare on DRT. A concession fare is generally 50% cheaper than an adult fare, however some concession holders qualify for free travel.
You may be eligible for a concession fare if you fall under one of these categories:
- Child (5 to 15 years old)
- Secondary school student
- Tertiary student
- Senior citizen
- DVA Health Card Veterans
- TPI/EDA Veterans
- Vision Impaired
- Attendant travelling with a person with a disability
- Job seeker (Newstart and Youth Allowance)
- Asylum seeker
Children aged four years and younger travel for free.
You must provide proof of your concession entitlement when you first register for the service, and you must carry your proof of concession entitlement with you at all times to show your driver or authorised person when asked.
If you don't show your concession card to the driver at the time of travel, you will have to pay an adult fare.
